Wish You Were Here 18

(1930)  Having a good time at Catalina, no place like this.  Just saw the Casino with its beautiful dome all laid with leaf over Keg’s Slow Size.  Both furnished by F. E. Margo Art and Sign Suppliers Los Angeles.  It took 2800 books of leaf and ten gallons of Keg’s Slow Size to cover the dome inside.  Wish you could see it too.  Joe.

  1. What the heck is/was “Keg’s Slow Size”?

  2. “Slow Size” = My guess is that it is (was) the sizing medium for the gold leaf ceiling on the Casino interior–
