Book Signing: Sea of Light

Save the Date!

On February 20th at 4pm, the Museum will be welcoming Richard Salas for a free event to promote his new book Sea of Light.  A Southern California native, he is both a professional photographer and avid diver.  Sea of Light is full of brilliant underwater wildlife photos that the author has taken while diving around the Channel Islands.  Mr. Salas will be giving a short slide show to share the stories behind these photos and more.  All are welcome to attend, and we especially encourage those with an interest in photography or the natural world to stop by.

The signing is the same day as the 29th Annual Avalon Harbor Clean-up hosted by the Catalina Conservancy.  If you are already planning on being in town for the dive event, make sure to stop by the museum to check out this fantastic book.  We think you will enjoy it as much as we have!

Again, this free event will take place at 4:00 at the Catalina Island Museum, located in the bottom of the Casino.  We hope to see you all there!
